Entering its third season, the 2008-09 SoCalCross Prestige Series is more than just a bike race. The Series will showcase 12 premier cyclocross events across Southern California including:

Five Eco-Sport Festivals including 5k 'Cross Trail Runs, kids racing, and of course premier cyclocross races!  These events include:

• The only UCI race in the State of California,
• The first ever SoCal Collegiate Cross Race,
• The 2008-09 SoCal/Nevada District Championships
• …all in one series!

The Prestige Series is striving to become the first ever CERTIFIED GREEN cyclocross race series in the nation!  Each of our events are solar powered and SoCalCross will introduce ECO SPORTFEST '08: five events in the SoCalCross Prestige Series. Each event will take place in a scenic park or lake front setting - making it a welcoming atmosphere for the entire family.  EcoSport Festival will feature sponsor booths from our 'Green’ sponsors, as well as representatives from each respective city’s Green Programs.

The Prestige Series will strive to educate racers and spectators by promoting reduction of car use and transportation bicycling - such as bicycle commuting - that even the recreational cyclist can take.  The “Fitness” portion of the expo includes our FREE Kids Race, Fun Rides, ‘Cross Run (5k trail run series), free beginner 'cross clinics and sponsor booths promoting healthy lifestyles.
